Witan organised a fact finding mission for 10 Dutch companies in the precision/micro/and nano-technology field under the patronage of the South Limburg Chamber of Commerce and Syntens, the Netherlands.
The main objective was to give the companies a first insight into the Japanese precision, micro and nano technology market; learn about the successes Japan has booked in this market; and organise productive meetings with Japanese partners that may lead to mutual agreements.
Witan was in charge of organising the mission week in Osaka and Tokyo which included: an introduction to the market by briefing speakers; visits and exchanges with related organisation and companies; set up match making opportunities to find suitable partners; all the logistics involved: booking venues, arranging sightseeing tour, etc.
Witan was able to get several briefing speakers who gave a clear overview and insight into the Japanese market. Witan was able to arrange approximately 10 set up meetings or visits per company. 2 out of the 10 companies have in the meantime signed contracts; and 3 other companies are still in discussion.
